SWORD OF E. VISCONTI.
Milan, early Fifteenth Century.
Strong triangle shaped, diamond section steel blade. Straight cross-guard, bent towards the point at its ends. Copper rain protection decorated with flower patterns. Heavy fig-shaped iron pommel. Wire-bound wooden grip.

HAND AND A HALF SWORD.
Early Fifteenth Century.
Long steel blade with fullered ricasso. Steel cross guard, flattened at its ends, with added ring protection for the finger. Steel disc pommel. Long wooden grip bound with intertwined iron wire.

HAND AND A HALF SCHIAVONESCA
Venice, late Fifteenth Century.
Long steel blade with central fuller. "S" shaped quillons. Square pommel, thickened in the centre. Wooden grip with relief patterns wrapped with leather.

Long diamond section steel blade with strong ricasso. Faceted fig-shaped iron pommel. Steel Cross-guard terminating in little balls. Long wooden grip bound with red cord.

Steel hilt with horizontal recurved ends, nuckle guard and ring protections for the hand. Round steel pommel. Wooden grip wrapped with leather. Single edge steel blade.

SCHIAVONESCA SWORD.
Venice, end of the 15th Century.
These swords are largely shown in the rooms of the Council of the X in the Palazzo Ducale in Venice. They have grips that were used both with one or two hands. Long blade of hexagonal section slightly flattened at the point, with three fullers from the forte up to the middle part of the blade. Squared pommel with a relief in the centre. Hilt with curved arms bent in horizontally opposite directions. Grip of wood wrapped in leather.

VENETIAN INFANTRY SWORD.
End of the 15th Century.
Blade of hexagonal section with a fuller up to the middle part. Squared pommel with a diamond motif on both faces. Hilt made of flattened iron. The knucklebow, quillon and pas-d-ane originate out from the cuspidate quillon block. Wooden grip wrapped in leather.

TWO HANDED SWORD. "Braveheart".
Broadsword used in the film "Braveheart". Blade of diamond section, enlarged in the strong where it is covered in leather. Hilt with straight arms with wide cuspidate quillon block. Slightly faceted fig shaped pommel. Grip of wood covered in leather.

GOTHIC HAND AND A HALF SWORD. 15th Century. Interpretation of a sword held in the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, with shortened diamond section steel blade. Slightly “S” shaped cross guard in steel with open-works motifs. Steel wheel pommel. Wooden grip bound in part with leather, the remaining upper portion covered with twisted steel wire. Overall length 118.5 cm Weight 1300 gr.
